This Acceptable Use & Prohibited Items Policy (Policy) forms part of the COMCA Master Terms & Conditions and applies to all use of the COMCA platform, marketplace, warehouse, and services. By using COMCA, you agree to comply with this Policy.
1. Purpose of This Policy
This Policy ensures:
- safe and lawful use of the COMCA platform
- protection of staff, users, and inventory
- prevention of fraud, abuse, and prohibited conduct
- compliance with Australian law and marketplace standards
2. General Acceptable Use Requirements
Users must:
- act lawfully, respectfully, and in good faith
- provide accurate information
- comply with all COMCA Policies
- use the platform only for legitimate trading card and collectible activity
- follow all instructions from COMCA staff
- maintain account security
3. Prohibited Conduct
Users must not:
- engage in fraud, deception, or misrepresentation
- submit counterfeit, altered, or prohibited items
- attempt to manipulate prices or market activity
- engage in shill bidding or coordinated price inflation
- harass, threaten, or abuse staff or other users
- attempt to access restricted areas or systems
- bypass or interfere with COMCA’s processes
- submit false claims or fabricated evidence
- initiate fraudulent chargebacks
- use bots, scrapers, or automated tools without permission
- upload malware or harmful code
- attempt to reverse engineer the platform
- create multiple accounts to evade enforcement
4. Prohibited Items
The following items are strictly prohibited and may be refused, removed, destroyed, or reported to authorities:
4.1 Counterfeit or Fraudulent Items
- fake cards
- resealed products
- altered or tampered items
- forged autographs
4.2 Illegal or High-Risk Items
- stolen goods
- items obtained through fraud
- items violating copyright or IP laws
- items linked to criminal activity
4.3 Unsafe or Hazardous Materials
- liquids
- chemicals
- flammable items
- mould-contaminated items
- items posing health or safety risks
4.4 Non-Collectible or Inappropriate Items
- pornography
- hate symbols
- extremist materials
- weapons or weapon-like objects
- items unrelated to trading cards or collectibles
4.5 Items Violating Marketplace Standards
- items with misleading titles or metadata
- items miscategorised to manipulate visibility
- items violating grading company policies
5. Listing & Metadata Requirements
Users must:
- accurately describe items
- use correct set codes, titles, and attributes
- avoid misleading or deceptive descriptions
- not misrepresent condition, rarity, or authenticity
COMCA may edit or standardise metadata for accuracy.
6. Platform Integrity & Security
Users must not:
- attempt to access other users’ data
- interfere with COMCA’s systems
- attempt to bypass security controls
- use automated tools without approval
- scrape or harvest data
Violations may result in immediate suspension.
7. Fraud, Abuse & Enforcement
COMCA may take action including:
- warning notices
- removal of listings
- freezing of payouts
- account suspension or termination
- liquidation of items to recover losses
- reporting to law enforcement
Fraudulent behaviour includes:
- false claims
- fabricated evidence
- intentional undervaluation
- counterfeit submissions
- fraudulent chargebacks
8. Consequences of Violations
Depending on severity, COMCA may:
- refuse intake
- remove items from sale
- return or destroy prohibited items
- hold or liquidate inventory
- restrict marketplace access
- terminate the account
No compensation is payable for prohibited or counterfeit items.
9. Reporting Violations
Users may report violations to COMCA support. COMCA may investigate and take appropriate action.
10. Changes to This Policy
COMCA may update this Policy by posting a new version on the website. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance.
